The C.S.I Institute of Legal Studies is one of the pioneer Law Colleges in Kerala having five year BA LLB, BBA LLB and B Com LLB, three year unitary LLB and two year LLM in Constitutional Law. The college started in the year 2013. Till this year, the college was not having the post of Director. The management conceived the idea of having a Director to the institution by manning a person with judicial administrative matters of the College. Accordingly, Sri. C.P. Ramaraja Prema Prasad was appointed as the Director and he assumed charge as such during the month of May, 2023.
The Director is a graduate in Physics from the Madurai Kamaraj University and is having a B.Ed. degree from the University of Kerala. He had his LL.B and LL.M in Administrative Law from the University of Kerala. To his credit, there are publications in Law Journals. He served as District and Sessions Judge in the Kerala Higher Judicial Service. He was the Law Secretary to Government of Kerala during 2011-2015. He had been the Registrar of the Kerala Administrative Tribunal and the Supreme Court of India. He has got teaching experience while working as a Law faculty in Law Colleges and research experience while doing Ph.D. in Law in the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi. His experience and exposure as judicial officer, head of the Law Department in the Government, supervisory post in the judicial forums, Law faculty in Law Colleges, Research Scholar etc. will certainly be of much help in improving the discipline amongst the students and the quality of teaching and learning process.
